ND USC Tickets
Once again this season, two football powerhouses will lock horns, and fans will scramble trying to find those nigh-impossible to obtain ND USC tickets. Quite simply, this is one of the greatest series of games in all of college football, and as the Fighting Irish and Trojans prepare to play in 2005, their gridiron war once again has meaning beyond who wins bragging rights and takes home the Shillelagh. Southern Cal is currently the top ranked team in the country, and under first year head coach Charlie Weis, Notre Dame has returned to the national rankings. The Irish have their work cut out for them, as they have lost three straight to the Trojans. However, the school from South Bend does hold a 39-26-5 all-time edge in the series, including 21 wins in 31 games at their home stadium.
The Man Who Made ND USC Tickets Possible
If it wasn't for Gwynn Wilson, there wouldn't be any need to buy ND USC tickets. That's because the rivalry between the Trojans and the Fighting Irish wouldn't even exist. While working as the graduate manager and general manager in 1926, Wilson and his wife Marion flew to South Bend, Indiana to meet with Notre Dame head coach Knute Rockne. During the course of the meeting, Wilson successfully convinced Rockne to fly out to the West Coast and play USC in football, thus beginning what has become one of the truly great rivalries in NCAA college football. In 1971, the university renamed their Student Union Building in his honor, and six years later, following the 50th anniversary game in the long-running series, Wilson was given the game ball following a victory by the Trojans. He passed on in November of 1992 at the age of 95, but his legacy lives on whenever these two colleges meet on a football field.
